Madera County Economic Development Commission (MCEDC) was recently recognized for their accomplishments in the field of economic development promotions.
Madera, CA – May 18, 2015- The California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) presented MCEDC with an Award of Merit at their annual conference last month held in Riverside. CALED is a statewide association dedicated to serving professionals involved in the business of economic development.
MCEDC’s new website and related app were the items of interest for the award. Both tools have been used with success to advance Madera County’s economic development strategy.The website sponsored by Pacific Gas & Electric and designed by Nettra Marketing was designed to enforce the virtues of Madera County. MCEDC is excited to offer a new experience to web visitors designed to give a clear message; “Bring your business to Madera County”.
The website does a great job of displaying all the benefits that businesses gain by locating to Madera County. The site is designed to be used as a lead generating tool for the agency and MCEDC has found that in today’s world of technology many individuals visit their website before contacting their office.
The app concept was developed between MCEDC and Madera County’s Information Technology (IT) Department. The FREE app was designed to give people a quick understanding of the attractive qualities Madera County has to offer. The goal is to target; site selectors, real estate brokers, business managers and owners, entrepreneurs and the general public. The first day the app was launched it received a four star rating. “Good information, I downloaded this app to get some more information about moving to Madera and found it pretty useful,” stated a Google Play user. Both tools were also highlighted in a breakout session for the conference. At the time of the app’s launch MCEDC was the first Economic Development Commission in the State to have their own app.
