Folks from all over the country will be swarming to Oakhurst this weekend for the celebration honoring the 150th anniversary-signing of the Yosemite Grant Act by President Abraham Lincoln on June 30, 1864. 

The Grant protected Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees, creating the foundation for the National Park System. This historic action will be celebrated with a Festival to take place this weekend at the Oakhurst Community Park. The fun will kick off at 10am, attendees can expect food, games, entertainment, souvenirs, Abraham Lincoln, Smoky Bear, John Muir and more! Make sure to be there by noon so you don’t miss Mr. Lincoln’s and John Muir’s wagon train entrance to the event! For more information and details about the festival please visit

The Festival hours are 10am to 7pm. Admission is only $1 and the first 500 people will receive a commemorative button.  VIP tickets for $10 are available which include admission for one barbecue meal (sandwich, soda/water & side), commemorative button & poster. The Oakhurst Community Park is located at 49074 Civic Circle Drive in Oakhurst.
