Chowchilla-Madera County Fair Announces Partnership with Butler Amusements

The Chowchilla-Madera County Fair is proud to announce a new partnership with Butler Amusements, who will serve as the Fair’s official carnival provider. The Chowchilla-Madera County Fair runs May 7th through May 10th 2026. This partnership brings one of the most respected and recognized carnival operators in the western United States to the Fair, ensuring an exceptional experience for fairgoers of all ages.

Butler Amusement is widely recognized for its first-class operations and commitment to excellence. The company has been honored with the Circle of Excellence designation by the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA) at the 2005, 2010, 2015, 2022, and 2025 International Association of Fairs Conventions. This coveted designation—recognized by both the OABA and the International Association of Fairs—identifies Butler Amusement as the “Best of the Best,” reflecting a well-run, safe, high-quality, and well-managed carnival operation. Butler Amusement continues to maintain this designation, which is reviewed and renewed every five years.

Today, Butler Amusement is the largest carnival company in the western United States, providing carnival entertainment for more than 75 events annually, including 38 state and county fairs. Their operation features over 125 amusement rides across seven states: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Arizona.
