Madera Industrial Market Statistical Report-2Q 2015

Vacancy Rate Remains Under 1%
The first quarter of the year brought the beginning of positive change for the industrial market.  However, a recent survey showed no significant new activity during the second quarter. The vacancy rate remains unchanged from the first quarter of the year.

Infrastructure for the Freedom Industrial Park continues to move forward with ground breaking on the first buildings anticipated by the end of the year.

Work is nearly complete on the new sheriffs office located in the Airport Industrial Park.Personnel are expected to move in by the end of July.

High-Speed Rail construction officially began on a 1,600-foot viaduct over the Fresno River. The work is part of the first construction segment in the state.

Economic indicators remain positive. According to a June report in The Business Journal, Madera County has a 9.5 percent unemployment rate for June, down from 9.7 percent in May and below 10.4 percent in June 2014.

Another recent report produced by Fresno States Craig School of Business shows healthy economic growth in the counties of Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare. The report also notes that manufacturers are adding jobs. The report can be accessed at the following link. (Click Here)
