Madera County is poised to experience substantial economic growth in the coming years, driven by the development of multiple master-planned communities currently in various stages of planning, construction, and expansion. This trend is reflected in recent data showing that Madera County ranked as the number one fastest-growing county in California in terms of housing unit growth, underscoring the County’s accelerating development pace. Notably, in Fiscal Year 24/25 alone, 1,333 Single-Family Dwelling (SFD) permits were issued in the County.







Madera County EDC is authorized to provide funding in the form of long and short-term financing. The program is funded primarily through the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds. Funding from the program includes but not limited to, equipment purchase, working capital, and inventory acquisitions for new and existing businesses through the Madera County Small Business Loan Program and the City of Madera Revolving Loan Fund Program. The funding is primarily focused on job creation meeting the requirement of one full time job created for every $35,000 in loan funds. By offering flexible terms and competitive interest rates the fund ensures that businesses have the necessary resources to thrive and compete in today’s market.
