Madera County Economic Development Commission Announces Appointment of New Executive Director Kristina Gallagher

Madera, CA — November 7, 2024 — The Madera County Economic Development Commission (MCEDC) has recently announced the appointment of Kristina Gallagher as the new Executive Director of the MCEDC, effective November 4, 2024. Gallagher brings a wealth of experience in local government advocacy, public policy, and community engagement, positioning her to lead the Commission in promoting economic growth, supporting business development and strengthening community partnerships across Madera County.

In her previous position at the California State Association of Counties (CSAC), Gallagher was instrumental in working with local governments to pass legislation and advocate for critical state funding in the housing, land use and transportation space.  Her understanding of California’s economic landscape and public policy framework allows her to anticipate and address challenges facing the region. Her work with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations has helped secure vital resources and foster a collaborative environment for growth.
